Mario the athletic plumber is back. And yes, in this part too he has to save princess peach. However, this time not from Bowser but from the Origami king
The story The origami king has kidnapped princess peach and turns everyone into origami. For anyone who doesn't know, origami is a Japanese form of paper folding, like folding paper into a swan. But everyone has been transformed into origami even bowser. So this time bowser is also by your side because my enemy's enemy is my friend. Bowser and Mario join forces to battle the origami king.
The gameplay The gameplay is slightly different than in previous paper marios. Here you fight the boss fights by spinning circles on the field every time, both horizontally and vertically, by getting as close to the boss as possible so that you can strike. It is important to keep an eye on both your own attack and how far the opponent is with his attack. Because some attacks of the opponent are so strong that you are immediately dead. And this means that you have to start all over again. And believe me the boss fights are really long!
The conclusion Paper Mario is a wonderful game with great humor in the cutscenes. You will sometimes be doubly laughing. The game is also mega long, expect 30-40 hours for the story mode only. If you want to complete the game with all side quests, you can easily think of 60 hours. The game has such fun elements, such as the humor, the cutscenes, the environment. All great. However, a major drawback is the gameplay itself. The combat system is not something for everyone. I myself would be happier with some more old-fashioned mario style fights where you have to jump on your enemy at the right time. Nevertheless the game is really good and we get an 8 from us.
